X2F is designed to produce optical-grade lenses with tighter control of these failure modes so lens quality is driven by the design.

Sink Control with Patented Pack and Hold

Sink is one of the most common quality killers in molded optics, especially as thickness increases or geometry becomes more demanding. X2F’s patented pack and hold capability maintains pressure in the cavity longer and allows more material to be packed into the mold where it’s needed. This helps eliminate sink and reduce the surface distortion and dimensional drift that sink can create.

Lower Stress for Optical Consistency

Residual stress can show up as optical inconsistency (including birefringence effects in some materials) and increased sensitivity across temperature. X2F’s approach is built to reduce stress-driven variability, supporting lenses that are more consistent from part to part.

More Consistent Shape, Less Warp Sensitivity

Warp and geometry variation can shift optical surfaces and degrade lens-to-lens consistency. X2F supports more stable lens geometry by improving fill/pack control in challenging designs. Conventional processes struggle to balance speed, stress, and form control.
