Job Description:
Serve as technical manager overseeing the mechanical engineering application and project management teams, provide team with customer interface support at the prototyping, pilot, and production phase. Manage projects on time and budget while meeting high quality expectations. Develop management plans that drive progress to reach milestones under tight timelines. Manage internal resources, vendors, consultants, and contract resources to execute against project goals. Manage mechanical engineering project implementation and oversee the preparation, monitoring, and equipment setup, manufacturing layout, and process changes. Provide support for the quoting activities by participation in process design and development. Develop appropriate systems for document and storage & access and conduct periodic review and maintenance of all documentation files. Collaborate with business development, process control team, customers, and technical staff to identify and prioritize opportunities and attainment of key milestones consistent with approved commercialization timelines.

Job Requirements:
Employer requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a product development manager or related occupation managing new product development in polymer systems including at least three of the following areas: new product development, prototyping, application development, project engineering, polymer injection molding and extrusion, economic evaluation, and technology development. In addition, the employer requires the candidate to have at least a demonstrated knowledge of any three of the following gained though at least five (5) years of work experience: advanced polymer processing equipment; engineered resins; heat sinks; encapsulation of electronics; and thermal management solutions with testing, supply chain, quality, and operations.

All years of work experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary range: one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars to one hundred fifty-five thousand dollars per year.
